Throughout their long histories and the challenges of the past two years, both Central
Service Association (CSA) and Professional Computer Solutions (PCS) have made strong,
steady progress; and as we either move beyond the covid pandemic or continue to adapt to
a new way of doing business, we expect that strong, steady progress to continue. In short,
both entities have built momentum, and both are growing stronger.
As we discussed a “theme” for this year’s Annual User Education Conference (AUEC), the
momentum we have built was compared to catching a wave or cresting that first big hill on
a roller coaster. Steady forward progress leads to momentum, and that momentum is what
keeps us moving, building and growing.
Part of this momentum is to incorporate the annual PCS User Conference into the CSA
Annual User Education Conference (AUEC). CSA is excited to invite and welcome PCS
users from 24 states to participate in this annual event. While PCS clients have been
invited to attend the CSA event in the past, this year PCS will offer a full program with
multiple breakouts as they have done in the past in Denison, and as always, all large group
speakers and events will be open to PCS clients. We believe everyone will find the event
welcoming and informative.
Each year we gather for our AUEC to accomplish three very important goals:
- First, we want to educate our users about the products and services we provide. In
some cases, these are long-established products, and, in some cases, we are unveiling
new products and services, but either way there is always new functionality and new
things to learn to make our member employees more efficient and of greater value to
- Second, we want to give our users the opportunity to meet and talk to their peers.
In many cases the opportunity to share successes and challenges with other utility
personnel leads to solutions that may never have been considered. Sometimes “the
other guy” has already fought the battle you are facing. Their knowledge can often lead
others to better solutions.
- Third, we want to share information about YOUR association. This information relates
to people, products, services, financial standing, what is behind us, and what is ahead of
In short, this conference is about usable information, and it is our goal that attendees
leave the conference with the information to make themselves, and their utility, better.
While the exact agenda will be finalized around late April, we will be following the same
basic format that we have followed for the past several years. Along with the annual golf
and fishing outings, Monday will be filled with CSA preconference sessions. These
preconference sessions are refreshers for the functionality in Orbit CMB, DFM, and Works.
We will also present a preconference session from our quality control team and staff from
PCS and CSA will host an orientation for PCS users new to the event. Tuesday will open
with a keynote speaker and other large group information sharing, then we will offer both 'CSA and PCS breakout sessions the remainder of Tuesday and all day on Wednesday (about 30 total). We will wrap up on Thursday morning with CSA’s Annual Stockholder Meeting. At this time, we expect to be finished no later than 10:00 a.m.
We will have breakfast, lunch and breaks on Tuesday and Wednesday plus breakfast on Thursday. These are for registered utility personnel and staff only. The Tuesday night reception, the Ice Cream reception, and the Wednesday night “Family Fun Night” (also known as the CSA/PCS Family Reunion) will be open to all registered attendees and their registered guests. We always have hundreds of utility personnel family and guests at this beautiful site and we are happy to include them in this incredible event.
CSA is certified by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a provider of continuing education and CSA has been placed on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. While the agenda has not been set at this time, we hope to offer a minimum of 10 CPE hours.
Each year I try to express how important it is for your utility to be represented at the Annual User Education Conference. This is our primary opportunity each year to share information with our member/owners and now PCS clients. This information is best shared in a live, interactive environment. As such, it is a prime opportunity for you and your staff to tap into the knowledge of our combined CSA and PCS staffs, along with other industry experts, and your peers. Ask questions, see product demonstrations, explore opportunities offered through our “affiliated vendors,” and return to your utility a wiser, better prepared, and more motivated employee. To further express our desire for your participation, we are continuing our special offer that we started in 2019. All utility staff members who attend the 2022 AUEC will be mailed a voucher with a $599 value, the same cost as registration at the AUEC. This voucher can be used toward the one-time costs associated with the installation of key CSA or PCS products (not applicable to monthly, annual, or professional services fees). All credit vouchers must be applied to a new system supplement or work order signed between July 1 and December 31,2022. Multiple vouchers may be used, but only one voucher may be used per product.
